Food & Shelter
The Algonquians are hunters and gatherers. They gathered fruits and vegetable like: corn, beans, squash, mushrooms, wild rice, bitter root and wild onions. For fishing they used: canoes and boats. To hunt they used: arrows and bows. They live in wigwam made by the woman. To make the wigwams they used: pine branches, birch, poles and deer hide. Each tribe needs a kind of housing that would fit their lifestyle and their climate. They live by eating food and by their wigwam.
